Stephanie Birkitt was discovered as one of the women engaged in the David Letterman extortion plot.
Birkitt, Letterman’s former helper who had some appearances on the “Late Show,” lived with suspect extortionist Robert “Joe” Halderman, who “was in possession of Birkitt’s diary, mail and photographs — which he says inculpated Letterman,” reported TMZ.
She graduated of Wake Forest University in 1997 who interned in the writers’ section at the “Late Show” in 1996. Followin a stint at “48 Hours” — incidentally, where Halderman worked as a producer — Birkitt moved back to the “Late Show.”
After a occupation as producer, Birkitt applied to be Letterman’s helper.
